In 1958 the Braemar Guide Sheiling was opened on land gifted by Cpt Nicolson of the Mar Estate and since then has provided a welcome home not just to members of Girlguiding but also to hundreds of visitors from around the country.
This small self-catering hall is managed by Girlguiding Kincardine and Deeside. It is ideal for short holidays and events and is well used by youth and community groups and other visitors. It is within a few minutes walk from the village centre next to the Braemar Showground.
